The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Medical Sociology (Non-Thesis) offered by the Department of Sociology in the Faculty of Arts is a course-based program that emphasizes innovative and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

Academic background and requirement

  • A bachelor's degree in Sociology or in another relevant social science.
  • CGPA of 3.3 or better out of a possible 4.0.
  • Many students entering the MA program have already taken the equivalent of one or more of the following required undergraduate level courses: Sociological Perspectives; Sociological Inquiry; Classical Sociological Theory; Statistics in Social Research.
  • GRE scores in the 80th percentile or better
