Bachelor of Media and Communication prepares students for employment in a range of professions that cater to the changing needs of the media-saturated society.

Advertising is a discipline that combines strategic thinking, creativity, communication, and science with potential career paths through advertising agencies and commercial organizations.

Study Tour option

The Advertising Major offers a unique annual international Study Tour where students visit a selection of industry workplaces including advertising agencies, publishers, media shops, and clients.

Clinical or professional work placement option

In the core unit SAH3200 Industry and Community (which is mandatory for all those who enroll in the Media and Communication degree), students will produce work in the form of a presentation, performance, exhibition, strategic report, or research project that will be driven and assessed by a community and/or industry representative.

Minimum requirements for secondary school results can change, depending on the country where you completed your secondary study.

If you've completed a Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma at a recognised Australian education provider, this may also help you meet minimum entry requirements for an undergraduate course.

Foundation:

A Diploma from ECC is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree at Edith Cowan University.

It aims to prepare international students for further study in an ECC Diploma or for entry into the first year of a selected Edith Cowan University bachelor’s degree.
