Bachelor of Media and Communication prepares students for employment in a range of professions that cater to the changing needs of the media-saturated society.
Students acquire knowledge about the cultural impact of the media and gain critical insights to make a meaningful contribution to the local and global communication industries and wider society.
You’ll have opportunities for placements and real-world projects, thanks to the strong links with the industry.
And the students you meet and work with at ECU will probably become industry colleagues of the future.
Students will produce creative and engaging content for the screen in ECU’s Screen Production major.
Students will learn skills in concept development and scriptwriting, production management and directing, and camera and editing while working collaboratively in small groups on diverse projects.
In the core unit SAH3200 Industry and Community (which is mandatory for all those who enroll in the Media and Communication degree), students will produce work in the form of a presentation, performance, exhibition, strategic report, or research project that will be driven and assessed by a community and/or industry representative.
