Bachelor of Media and Communication prepares students for employment in a range of professions that cater to the changing needs of the media-saturated society.
Students acquire knowledge about the cultural impact of the media and gain critical insights to make a meaningful contribution to the local and global communication industries and wider society.
You’ll have opportunities for placements and real-world projects, thanks to the strong links with the industry.

Screen Studies provides a strong theoretical and analytical foundation, the opportunity to take electives in areas that will enhance the student's specialization, and an intensive production program in a variety of formats and genres.
In the core unit SAH3200 Industry and Community (which is mandatory for all those who enroll in the Media and Communication degree), students will produce work in the form of a presentation, performance, exhibition, strategic report, or research project that will be driven and assessed by a community and/or industry representative.

The Academic English Program (AEP) is designed for students who plan to study at an Australian university or who are interested in developing academic reading, writing, listening and communication skills.
All applicants are required to be Screen Academy students only, submit a portfolio of work in their specialization, attend an interview, and have completed an Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media, with equivalents considered.
Minimum requirements for secondary school results can change, depending on the country where you completed your secondary study.
If you've completed a Certificate IV, Diploma, or Advanced Diploma at a recognized Australian education provider, this may also help you meet minimum entry requirements for an undergraduate course.

A Diploma from ECC is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree at Edith Cowan University.
