Bachelor of Languages

The Bachelor of Languages at the University of Adelaide is interactive and immersive. 

Whether you’ve studied a language at the Year 12 level or are just setting out on your language journey, we offer different streams to cater to your level of knowledge. You will:

  • develop proficiency in one or more languages
  • enhance your knowledge of the cultures they originate from
  • heighten your awareness of language systems
  • understand language’s role in society
  • build a greater appreciation of cultural diversity.

Industry Placement

Language pathway (conditional offer) is available

The Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP) is a direct entry pathway into further studies at the University of Adelaide for students that have not met the minimum English language entry requirements of their award program.

The PEP is offered in 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 weeks.

Academic background and requirement

Australian Year 12:            

A SACE Stage 2 Language Other Than English (LOTE) subject. IB: a Group 2 Second Language subject

 

International Qualifications:         

One foreign language other than English at SACE level or equivalent

 

GPA:

India: ISC & CBSE: 65%   -   ISBE: 75%

China: Gao Kao: 60%

Foundation programs are designed to meet the special needs of international students who do not meet the academic requirements for entry into undergraduate programs at the University of Adelaide.
