Overview

Bachelor of Arts - Applied Ethics

Macquarie’s Bachelor of Arts has been reimagined by world-leading academics in consultation with industry partners and public-sector organisations.

What actions should individuals and states take in response to refugee crises, global poverty and inequality, and climate change?

How can limited healthcare resources be shared among people with differing health needs?

What are the ethical consequences of using AI to make decisions that affect people’s jobs, health and wellbeing?

The Applied Ethics major will equip you with the knowledge and reasoning skills to engage with some of our day's most complex ethical problems.

You’ll learn to master ethical concepts, theories and methods, engage with ethical debates, and apply your skills to ethical problems in healthcare, business, work, science, technology and the environment.

You’ll be equipped for a challenging but rewarding career developing and implementing the solutions needed for humanity to live well both now and in the future.
