Overview

Master of Architecture

Architecture at Dalhousie university is a challenging, well-rounded discipline.

By studying architecture, students develop their artistic skill, knowledge of history and technology, social and cultural awareness, and critical imagination.

Architectural design typically involves drawing and model-making, by hand or with a computer. At times it may also involve on-site construction with full-scale materials.

One-third of the Architecture building is devoted to studio spaces open to Architecture students twenty-four hours a day.

Master of Architecture is a two-year, full-time program consisting of four academic terms in residence and an eight-month work term. It includes required courses that complete the core requirements for the School’s professional degree program.
