Anatomy refers to the internal and external structures of the body and their physical relationships.
Human anatomy explicitly examines how each part of a human being, from tissues and cells to internal organs and bones, interacts to form a functional whole.
Physiology refers to the study of the functions of these structures.
The Anatomy and Physiology major examines the structure and function of the human body using a systems-oriented approach.
You’ll learn how to apply physiological and anatomical principles to explain how the human body works in health and disease states.
You’ll develop the capabilities required for further study in health, medicine and medical research, such as:
How to relate human structure to the function of critical systems of the body, identify common system disorders, and evaluate the contribution of behavioural factors to health and disease development.
