Smart plugs, smart lights, security systems, health monitors, pet feeders and even toothbrushes are all examples of Internet of Things technology – physical objects that feature an IP address for Internet connectivity.
Such connected smart objects, platforms and environments have been identified as the subsequent big technology development that will enable changes to society and economic growth.
The Internet of Things will become inherent in electricity, transportation, retail, energy management, resource control and management, healthcare and mining.
In Macquarie's Internet of Things specialisation, you’ll address challenges arising from the interconnection of the Internet and everyday devices.
You'll do so by applying advanced and applied knowledge of the design, configuration, and management of IoT systems, communication services, and networking.
You’ll become an expert in networking technologies and protocols, security, hardware, operating systems and application programming, and you’ll get hands-on experience in industry-recognised development methodologies, practices and tools.
