The Bachelor of Arts at the University of Wollongong will equip you for today’s rapidly changing world.
A major in Environmental Humanities will equip you with the tools to analyse, critique and engage with contemporary environmental debates.
You will acquire a deep and critical understanding of the social contexts through which we experience environmental issues and problems, such as:
Climate change, species loss, adaptation, exploitation and natural disasters.
You will understand clearly the role of cultural forces (histories, narratives, cultural values and ethics) that influence and shape relationships with the environment.
The Environmental Humanities major combines subjects from International Studies, Philosophy, History, Indigenous Studies, Cultural Studies, Sociology, English, Contemporary Arts and Geography.

Applicants must have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to completing 13 years of schooling in Australia.
To succeed in your chosen course, it is assumed you have completed relevant subjects in your senior high school studies or other relevant qualifications.
