Studying a Bachelor of Creative Arts - Visual Arts at UOW provides an intensive, hands-on environment for exploring diverse materials, processes, and practices.
This includes a wide range of studio practices, from established to emerging, analogue to digital, and encompassing 2D, object, and time-based works.
The Visual Arts major equips you with a sound knowledge of contemporary art practices, art history, and theory in Australia and internationally.
It also allows you to take minors and electives that broaden your career opportunities, such as Creative Writing, Media Arts, Technical Theatre, Music Production, Photography, English Literature or languages.
Visual Arts is taught by academics who are also practising artists and scholars and who work with you to develop your creative and critical abilities.
You will work towards a major exhibition by the end of your degree and are encouraged to participate in Student-Initiated Projects (SIPS).
Bachelor of Creative Arts students may apply via their Course Coordinator to enrol into the Creative Arts Internship subject.
