The Bachelor of Performance and Theatre at UOW is an intensive, practice-based course that inspires and prepares you for a career in the performing arts and broader creative industries.

Studying the Theatre Making major will help you explore the possibilities of creating theatre for diverse audiences in regional and urban settings.
The course covers all elements of theatre-making to communicate content, atmosphere and impact and will help you become an informed, professional, and self-reliant practitioner.
You will learn about stage management, technical theatre, lighting, sound and staging, performance-making processes and dramaturgy.
In addition to a major in Theatre Making, you can add a minor in another study area that will bring a multi-disciplinary aspect to your degree.
Options include music, scriptwriting, photography, graphic design, media arts, and visual arts.

Applicants must have achieved the required score in a qualification equivalent to completing 13 years of schooling in Australia.
It is assumed you have completed relevant subjects in your senior high school studies or other relevant qualifications to succeed in this course.
Entry into the Bachelor of Performance and Theatre (Acting) is based on academic results and audition scores.
You will be required to audition to demonstrate your talent and potential to benefit from the course.
