In the Cyber Security major, you will study technical and political concepts of current topics of cyber security, such as blockchain, cryptocurrency, multimedia security, Internet of Things (IoT) security, obfuscation, and reverse engineering.
You will learn penetration testing skills for defensive purposes and be prepared for ethical hacking certification.
You’ll also complete a final-year capstone team project at the UoW.
These programs of study will provide you with a broad experience of technology using various industry products such as Microsoft, Apple, Oracle, SAP, and Cisco.
The Bachelor of Computer Science (Cyber Security) can be studied through the Cyber Academy.
This unique learning experience will develop the sharpest, job-ready graduates to meet Australia’s growing demand for cybersecurity experts.
In this program, you will study (online) a combination of UOW subjects alongside the (TAFE NSW ICT50220) Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security), with paid employment at a government department, industry partner or Deloitte throughout the 3-year program.
Cyber academy students will earn a salary throughout their degree and fast-track their cyber security careers with meaningful, hands-on experience.
In your final year, you will develop your application as part of an annual student team project, developing solutions to real-world problems provided by the industry partners.
