Gain the latest knowledge in medical radiation science and develop your skills in imaging modalities such as general radiography, computed tomography (CT), angiography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
You will learn authentically in world-class medical imaging labs with the same capabilities as medical imaging clinics.
Clinical placements each semester start right from your first year and are based in metro, rural and regional settings.
You will gain valuable clinical practice in clinical centres, hospitals, and the medical imaging training unit.
This experience will provide you with diverse skills and ensure you graduate career-ready and eligible for registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner (diagnostic radiographer).
Clinical placements are an integral part of this course, focusing on providing health care across regional and rural Australia.

If you're currently studying Year 12 or completed Year 12 in the previous two years and have not attempted higher education or VET/Polytechnic study since your selection is based on the following.
VCE Prerequisite subjects
Complete foundation studies and/or a diploma program at Deakin College or one of Deakin's TAFE partners.
Australian Foundation Program: 65%
Note: Equivalent to an Australian Year 12 certificate.
The Deakin College Foundation Program is equivalent to upper secondary school (Year 12) and university foundation programs.
It aims to prepare you for further study in a Deakin College Diploma or entry into the first year of a selected Deakin University bachelor's degree.
