QUT construction management and quantity surveying course is highly regarded by the industry, and you’ll be taught and mentored by some of the best in the business.

You’ll undertake interior design projects in practical studio settings and participate in independent and collaborative problem-solving. 

In your first year, you’ll complete units that will lay the foundations for the remainder of your course. 

You’ll explore design thinking for the built environment and receive an introduction to construction management, structures and residential construction, urban development economics, construction business, and integrated construction.   

From there, you will complete units in commercial construction, construction-related law, building services, contracts administration, cost planning and controls. 

You’ll learn about building measurement and estimating and develop your design and building skills.   

In your final year, you’ll explore programming, scheduling, and advanced concepts of quantity surveying and gain an understanding of strategic construction management.   

Throughout your studies, you’ll apply what you learn to real-world projects and address real-world challenges with your lecturers and peers. 

You’ll also have access to exclusive work placements and cadetships, with some students receiving their first job offer before they finish their studies. 

Work Integrated Learning 

You are required to undertake 30 days of approved work experience as part of your Work Integrated Learning core unit.

• Senior/Higher Secondary School Certificate/Pre-University certificate from QUT-recognised state education boards with an overall average of 75% in the best five academic subjects.
• Indian School Certificate academic stream awarded by CISCE with an overall average of 60% in the best five academic subjects.
• All India Senior School Certificate academic stream awarded by CBSE with an overall average of 60% in the best five academic subjects.

China: 

• GAOKAO 60% in best 4 academic subjects.
   

Iran:

• Before 2020: Pre-University Certificate with a grade average of 15 on a 20-point scale.
• From 2020: National High School Diploma/Secondary School Leaving Certificate with a grade average of 15 on a 20-point scale in the final year (Grade 12).
