Specialised screen training, small group sizes and superb facilities give QUT acting graduates a distinctive edge.

You will begin from the first year, exploring your own creative identity and understanding of creative practice. 

Additionally, you will receive training in acting skills, including movement, voice, speech production, physical expressivity, character, acting methodologies, and script analysis.

As your course progresses, you will continue to refine your acting and creative leadership skills and have the option to include complementary studies across areas including drama, film, writing, media, and marketing. 

These studies will increase entrepreneurial knowledge and provide greater employment flexibility in a rapidly changing industry. 

Your final year presents opportunities to work on collaborative projects and develop fundamental world skills in working with other creative practitioners. 

You can showcase these skills to the stage, screen, and emerging media industries you are about to graduate into.

You will graduate confident in your abilities as an actor and a creative leader working independently and collaboratively to produce, promote, and generate audience excitement about your screen and stage performances throughout your career.

Applications for semester 1, 2024, close at 5 pm Monday, 26 September 2023 (Brisbane time)

India:

• Senior/Higher Secondary School Certificate/Pre-University certificate from QUT-recognised state education boards with an overall average of 75% in the best five academic subjects.
• Indian School Certificate academic stream awarded by CISCE with an overall average of 60% in the best five academic subjects.
• All India Senior School Certificate academic stream awarded by CBSE with an overall average of 60% in the best five academic subjects.

China: 

• GAOKAO 60% in best 4 academic subjects.
   

Iran:

• Before 2020: Pre-University Certificate with a grade average of 15 on a 20-point scale.
• From 2020: National High School Diploma/Secondary School Leaving Certificate with a grade average of 15 on a 20-point scale in the final year (Grade 12).
