Overview

Bachelor of Arts - Philosophy

This Major is not offered currently.

Investigating these and other questions, such as the nature of time, the relation between body and mind, and how we define good and bad, is a conversation that draws from great thinkers-‐-‐past and present.

This discipline challenges each of us to think about these kinds of problems critically, creatively and systematically.

Why Philosophy at UNB?

The UNB program encourages you to complicate and clarify your thought through close and critical reading of great thinkers, engaged discussion in seminar settings, and challenging writing opportunities through sustained writing-‐ mentoring.

This provides a robust preparation for graduate study in philosophy and a superb foundation for other fields such as law, journalism, government, publishing, health professions, environmental policy, and business.

Hands-on learning:

  • Teaching/Research assistant opportunities for upper-level students
  • International exchange opportunities
