As a Communication Studies student on the Saint John campus, you will cast a critical eye on the impact of new technologies and processes on our social, political, economic, and cultural landscapes.
Topics include the decline of newspapers, radio, and television; the rise of Twitter, Facebook, and other social media; the impact of mobile computing; and the eternal question of ‘do we control devices or do our devices determine who we are?’
Why Communication Studies at UNB?
Unlike many similar programs, which focus on one discipline’s perspective, the program is multidisciplinary. This means you’ll learn about complex topics from multiple fields of study and perspectives, including Sociology, Psychology, and History.
Small classes led by accomplished academics and media practitioners will give you a unique amount of attention, encouragement, and mentorship.
