At Mount Allison University, Biochemistry students begin their studies by examining the world around them at the molecular level.
As part of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, the program provides students with a solid science foundation in the first two years, with paths for specialization in the third and fourth years.

The third year is a pivotal year in the program as you will take core lab courses that lay the foundation for research in biochemistry, including lab-only courses like Molecular Analyses and Experiential Biochemistry.

If you're offered conditional admission, you can enroll in one of our English pathway programs designed for students who need extra time and training to meet our English proficiency requirements, and who would like to benefit from additional transition time and academic preparation before full-time study.
There are two program options to help you meet the requirements, depending on your level of English:
Once you successfully complete one of Mount Allison's English language programs, you will get unconditional admission to Mount Allison (if you meet our academic requirements). No additional TOEFL or IELTS tests will be required.

Regular admission: To be considered for admission, a minimum final grade of 65% or the equivalent is required in all university-preparatory courses reviewed.
Early admission: Applicants may be considered for early admission based on their final grade 11 transcripts. A minimum admissions average of 80% is required for consideration.
China requirements:
Students studying at vocational/technical high schools may be considered if they have strong grades and their educational background is relevant to their intended field of study.
