Overview

Bachelor of Science - Neuroscience

How the brain works is both fascinating and baffling. And there is still so much yet to be discovered about these living computers.

This major will give you an understanding of how the nervous system is organised and how it functions: from the biology of nerve cells and neural circuits through to neural systems and complex behaviours.

You'll also find out how modern neuroscience interacts with molecular and cell biology, physiology, psychology, and cognitive and information science.

You can then take this knowledge and apply it to fields like drug development, behavioural research, brain imaging, or whatever other possibilities your brain can come up with.

Helping you into the workforce

Your opportunities include:

  • Completing an internship in a workplace for course credit
  • Learning from an industry professional in the mentoring program
  • Developing the skills you’ll need to find a job and impress employers in the free Job Ready short course
  • Making connections in one of the many career advice and employer networking sessions.
