In that case, this course at Murdoch will give you the experience and analytical skills you need to succeed in medical diagnosis, medical research and other health-related fields.
Explore medical technology and work in practical laboratories on campus to gain laboratory skills to analyze, diagnose and research human diseases.
You’ll examine disease processes and learn the technical skills you need to handle patient material collected in hospitals, doctor’s surgeries and even forensic investigations.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to perform clinical testing and analyze and report results.
Covering human biology, cell and molecular biology, molecular genetics, and various clinical laboratory disciplines, including microbiology, immunology, biochemistry and hematology.
This major (along with completion of other appropriate clinical units in the second and third years) will potentially help prepare you for the fourth year of study and a professional qualification in Laboratory Medicine.

Upon completing all AEP course requirements, you are eligible for direct entry at either an undergraduate or postgraduate course with no IELTS test required at Murdoch University (some course exclusions may apply).
International students can also use the internet-based Phoenix English Proficiency Test (iPEPT) for direct entry into Murdoch's courses for all 2022 intakes and 2023 Trimester 1, Trimester 2 and Semester 1 intakes.
