Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation)

Develop a broad awareness of the global aviation industry, gain experience as you study and become an aviation manager.

RMIT's Bachelor of Applied Science (Aviation) focuses on the operational, managerial and planning aspects of airlines, airports, and associated industries.

You will gain a comprehensive appreciation of the aviation operating environment and develop leadership, business, analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling you to solve real problems in the aviation workplace. 

Developed with input from key stakeholders in the aviation industry, you will learn from aviation experts and benefit from RMIT's long-standing relationships and extensive expertise in aviation education and research.

In your final year of study, you will undertake a Capstone Aviation Industry Project in which you will receive feedback and support from aviation industry practitioners.

Academic background and requirement

You must have successfully completed a qualification recognised by RMIT as equivalent to the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) with a minimum average of 65%.

Equivalent qualifications may also include completion of the RMIT Foundation Studies program or a recognised post secondary diploma in the relevant discipline with the required grades.

 

Prerequisites:

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) units 3 and 4:

a study score of at least 20 in one of Maths: General Mathematics, Maths: Mathematical Methods or Maths: Specialist Mathematics or equivalent studies.
