The Social Media major at UniSA will equip you with the skills and knowledge to manage social media in various professional settings.

You will:

  • develop and implement social media campaigns to gain followers and create conversations with primary audiences
  • understand the range of social media metrics available to achieve real results for organisations
  • align social media platforms to audiences and advise on the use of available digital channels
  • manage and grow online communities
  • write digital content, including blogs and content calendars
  • create text and visual assets for presentations, websites, email newsletters, tenders and submissions
  • design social media banners and edit in-house video content for social media platforms
  • manage social media content publishing, website editing, analysis, optimisation and refinement.

This degree allows you to select two majors, ensuring you graduate with a broad knowledge of two areas of interest.

You will also graduate with writing, presentation, digital, communication, research and problem-solving skills that can be transferable across various roles and are highly regarded by prospective employers.

There is also an opportunity to study a portion of your degree overseas as part of the University’s Hawke Ambassador International Volunteer Experience Program or Hawke Professional Experience Program

The CELUSA Academic English (AE) program is for students looking to develop their skills to meet the English language admission requirements necessary for academic study at the University of South Australia.

CELUSA recommends an intense language course of at least 10 weeks will help develop the skills to lift your IELTS score by half a band score.
