You can take language courses at every level and learn to speak, read and write Italian. At Stages II and III there are opportunities to study at universities in Italy. The university encourages you to study abroad.
You can also study Italian society and culture, contemporary literature and film, and medieval and Renaissance literature and culture. While most courses involve the study of texts in Italian, others are based on material in English and may be taken if you are not studying the language.
You can take a major in Italian as one of your two BA majors (a double major). You will need to pass at least 120 points (eight courses) towards each of your majors, including at least 45 points (three courses) at Stage III.
