In Management, you will study organisational environments and structures. 

You will study how people work as individuals and in teams. 

You will also explore universal organisational issues, including change, control, power and conflict.

What can you study in Management at the University of Auckland?

You can study Management as a single major or as a double major alongside one of the other majors offered within the Bachelor of Commerce. 

(These include Marketing and International Business.)

You can also study towards the Bachelor of Commerce in Management as part of a conjoint degree programme. 

(In a conjoint programme, you study for two degrees at once, attaining the qualification in a shorter time than it would take to complete the two programmes separately.)

You will learn about the world of work, how business organisations operate and the roles of people within these organisations. 

Your studies will include ethics, sustainability and other critical issues in business today.

In your third year, you’ll choose a capstone core course – select from an industry-based project, a business simulation, a live business case or an internship.

Secondary school qualifications

India: You need to have one of the following:

• 12 years of schooling and an overall average of 75 percent in the All-India Senior School Certificate (AISSC), Indian School Certificate (ISC), Karnataka, Maharashtra, and West Bengal State Board Examinations with a minimum of 70 percent in English.
• 12 years of schooling and an overall average of 80 percent in all other Higher Secondary State Board Examinations with a minimum of 75 percent in English.

China:

• The National College Entrance Examination (NCEE) is otherwise known as Gaokao. (Have a high school diploma or equivalent, Be in good health…) (Score required = 73)

Tertiary qualifications

You can transfer from another tertiary institution if you meet these requirements.

• You need to have the following: One-year successful bachelor-degree level study at a recognized university (or similar institution) overseas.
• Grade required = GPE 3.0 (60-64%)
