Overview

Environmental Studies Certificate

The Environmental Studies certificate at the College of the Rockies is designed to allow you a degree of autonomy in your course selection.

You will take a specific number of courses that deal with the environment along with options from a variety of subjects including geography, geology, anthropology and sociology.

This program is delivered in the classroom although a number of courses are also available online. Completion of the certificate may help you find employment in entry-level jobs or to move into further education to become more specialized.

The college has transfer agreements with a number of Canadian universities. So, it is recommended to work with an Education Advisor when choosing courses for future transfer.

Why Consider the Environmental Studies Program?

  • Prepares you for rewarding work focused on improving the health of the environment.
  • A well-rounded program lets you explore an environmental focus while also learning about other disciplines.
  • Opens the door to further educational opportunities.
