College Diploma in Visual Merchandising Arts

Imagine pursuing your passion in the highly creative industry of Visual Merchandising Arts, the art and science behind retail design and development. 

Graduates will combine the arts of window display, prop making, graphic design, event planning, and photo styling with the science of floor planning, branding, marketing, and entrepreneurship in both bricks and mortar and virtual retail environments. 

Visual merchandising is the process of creating an inviting and interactive environment for the consumer using a variety of mediums, materials, software, and technologies. 

The Visual Merchandising Arts program at Conestoga College offers a field placement for students to gain industry experience and to build external partnerships.

  • Conestoga English Language Test (CELT): Band 5

Conestoga offers a language program for students whose English language skills are below the standard required for admission, but all other admission criteria have been met. 

An applicant will be eligible for admission to the program after completing level 4 of the General Arts and Science - English Language Studies (ELS) program with an overall grade average of 70%

Placement in the ELS program is determined by scores on an in-house English language test or TOEFL or IELTS.
