Overview

Financial Services (Bachelor of Business Administration)

In the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Financial Services program at Douglas College, you’ll take business finance courses that cover financial planning and investing, business and financial law and financial literacy.

Once you graduate, you’ll be prepared to take on roles such as financial planner, financial advisor or investment analyst.

You’ll also be prepared to test for internationally recognized designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

In order to graduate from the program, you must complete BUSN 4500, the capstone course, which requires you to have 500 hours of Canadian work experience documented and signed off by your supervisor.

Hours worked in the Co-operative Education Program, and volunteer positions may be used to satisfy the work-experience component.

It is strongly recommended that you begin your work experience requirement as soon as you are accepted into the BBA in Finance to help you graduate on time.
