Humber College’s Public Relations advanced diploma (PRD) is the standard for public relations programs in Canada.
What sets PRD apart is the common first semester which exposes students to complementary communications disciplines in their first semester of study:
Advertising, marketing, graphic design and journalism. Students can remain in PRD or move to another area of study if they choose.
As students move into the following semesters, the focus is on creating and executing effective communications strategies through a selection of tactics that resonate with the target audiences.
The successful completion of this coursework culminates in an internship.
Students will gain practical, hands-on experience in the industry by completing a mandatory work placement in their final semester of study.
After completing a work placement preparation course, students will be supported in marketing themselves to prospective employers in order to find a work placement that aligns with their personal career goals.
