Overview

Advanced Diploma - Business Administration - Accounting

Humber’s Business Administration-Accounting advanced diploma program covers a number of areas including accounting theory, procedures and best practices.

Detailed instruction is provided in bookkeeping, auditing, taxation, business law, data analytics, information systems, finance and management.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in industry-standard software such as Profile (personal and corporate tax), Access, Excel, PowerBI, SAGE 50 Accounting (formerly known as Simply Accounting) and Accpac Plus.

You will learn accounting from industry-connected faculty who will provide you with practical, hands-on accounting training to help you get ahead.

The program’s versatile range of courses helps you to also develop broad-based business skills including human resource administration, business writing, macroeconomics and finance.

Outside of the classroom, students are supported by the full-time dedicated help resources in the Humber Accounting Centre.

Optional Co-op Work Placement Program

There are a limited number of spaces for students to mix co-op work experience with their academic learning in alternating semesters through an optional co-op program.

This co-op program is structured to include from one to three co-op work terms taking place between academic terms.

The optional co-op program provides students with an opportunity to gain valuable experience.

Co-op work opportunities are not guaranteed, as the job placement opportunities are competitive.

Applications to the co-op program are accepted only by students in Semester 2.

Students not selected for co-op placements will complete the standard 84-hour work placement course in their final semester.
