Become a professional photographer by specializing in this one-year advanced photography program in London, Ontario.
If you have a solid foundation in DSLR camera photography, the advanced photography program will help to develop your unique creativity into a professional career.
In these advanced photography courses, students explore a chosen photographic discipline where projects will be based on their choice of specialization. This can include fashion, food, architecture, product and portrait photography.
As a result, you’ll graduate with a professional portfolio that aligns with your career goals.
Students will gain advanced photography and post-production skills, such as colour management strategies, still and motion imagery, lighting techniques and studio and location environments in both printed and online presentation formats.
Since photography is an innovative, entrepreneurial field, students will also gain experiences such as marketing and job pricing, by working with real clients as they operate an on-campus service centre that will provide photography to the local community.
Throughout the year, students make industry connections through field trips to meet with various photography professionals and visit trade shows and conferences to research new products and future trends in photography.
Students are provided with multiple resources including 24/7 access to fully equipped studios, and access to Photo Loans and its collection of professional lenses, lighting equipment and medium format cameras.
Many projects require photo editing; therefore, your tuition includes a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, and Capture One software. Students must provide their own laptop computer, Macbook Pro’s are recommended.
