Finance:

Take control of business finances with the University of Southern Queensland’s Bachelor of Business majoring in Finance.

Learn about the financial side of running a business, managing money and how companies create value for their shareholders.

Develop the fundamentals of financial environments, modern analytical techniques, and various areas of the finance spectrum.

Learning the ins and outs of business finance, personal financial planning, financial policy, foreign exchange risk, asset selection, stockbroking, investment management, international financial management and financial economics.

Become equipped with the transferable skills of information gathering and critical thinking, allowing you to apply relevant analysis to your chosen industry or speciality.

You can choose a second major from various business and commerce fields to shape the career you want and strengthen your position. For example, a double major in Accounting and Finance is among the most popular combinations.

Marketing:

It can focus the energy and resources of an organisation on its best potential for maximum gain in the marketplace.

The marketing major provides opportunities to learn relevant marketing theories and principles in a real-world context through case studies and applied activities.

You will also have the opportunity to complete a professional work experience course in your final year.

In addition to your chosen specialisation of Marketing, you can choose to study another area in-depth with a second major or broaden your knowledge with a combination of minors and approved courses.

These can be chosen from business-related courses, such as Advertising or Public Relations.

Recognition of prior learning or work experience:

Suppose you have previously studied in your home country.

In that case, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses you must study to finish your program.
