The University of Southern Queensland's Bachelor of Information Technology (Applied Computer Science) gives you the skills to solve computer-related problems. 

The focus is on both technological and business principles and practices. 

Your studies will cover the fundamental skills of computer science involving the domain of modern web applications and services.

You will become well-prepared to solve computer-related problems in the workplace using your expertise in designing and implementing software systems, database structures and applications, and web services and interfaces.

 

Information Systems Development:

The information and communications sector has been identified as having a significant shortage of trained professionals, with the expectation that this shortfall will continue into the future.

Language pathway (conditional offer) is available

EAP includes two levels, and each level takes 10 weeks to complete. 

To start your studies in EAP, you will need an IELTS result of at least 5.0 in the four macro skills or an equivalent recognised international English test.

Students from non-English backgrounds residing in Australia should meet the following entry requirements:

  • Completing senior secondary schooling in the home country or equivalent, Year 12 in an Australian High School, completed 'A' levels or mature age entry.
  • EAP I: IELTS 5.0 or equivalent
  • EAP II: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent (undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, postgraduate research and doctorate)

Pre-requisites

To study this degree, we assume you have sound knowledge in:
