Bachelor of Data Science

Data scientists are increasingly in demand from community health and tracking activity in social networks to understand our environment and climate change.

Data Scientists create and use various tools and frameworks to understand and analyse patterns in data, then communicate their findings to others.

The Bachelor of Data Science at The University of Newcastle will allow you to develop core skills in data science, including data wrangling and visualisation, statistical modelling, programming, data security, and applied artificial intelligence, including machine intelligence. 

You’ll also have the opportunity to apply these skills by engaging in current workplace projects alongside the University's industry partners, giving you a competitive edge when you enter the workforce.
