Mathematics and data underpin so much of our society.

They are the foundation of the appliances we use and the way we communicate.

They are behind navigation systems, how we travel, and the machinery used to produce our food.

Through this combined degree program at the University of Newcastle, you'll develop core skills in data science and mathematics.

This includes data wrangling and visualisation, optimisation and mathematical modelling.

You'll also cover complex analysis, predictive analytics, programming, data and more.

You will have the opportunity to choose from one of the majors:

  • Pure and Applied Mathematics
  • Statistics
