Catholic studies at Manitoba university is an interdisciplinary program studying Catholicism through an intellectual and academic approach.
By examining Catholic history, art, politics and social life, students will learn about the people, places and principles that make up one of the world’s oldest and most influential institutions.
The Faculty of Arts offers a minor option in Catholic Studies.

The English Language Centre (ELC) at the University of Manitoba (UM) offers the full-time Intensive Academic English Program (IAEP).
If the student does not meet the English Language Proficiency requirement for their program of interest, the student can take advantage of this program to obtain the Academic English language skills needed to complete a degree.
If you have already achieved one of these minimum test scores, you may be eligible to enter Level 5 of the IAEP directly:
An equivalent minimum average of 70% over the following senior level courses, with no less than 60% in each course: • English • Mathematics • A third academic course • A fourth academic course
