As a financial professional, this program prepares you in the areas of financial planning, principles and industry standards, financial products and services, tax and legal implications, managing risks, and building customer service expertise.
Graduates typically find employment in financial institutions, entering positions such as customer service representative; banking, credit, or other investment management positions; finance and insurance clerks; insurance and real estate clerks; supervisors in sales and services; or investment professionals.
The Bow Valley College is an FP Canada-Approved Core and Advanced Curriculum Provider.
Obtaining the Qualified Associate Financial Planner (QAFP) and the Certified Financial Planner Designation from FP Canada is a significant advantage to students.
It establishes the technical competence required in the industry, builds professional competencies, and is recommended by employers.
Students enrolled in the Financial Services Diploma Major will be granted numerous opportunities of networking with industry professionals in the field of retail finance.

The International English Language Learning program offers five levels. Each level costs approximately $4,959 per semester.
Your initial level placement can be determined by submitting a valid English language proficiency exam result (IELTS Academic, Duolingo, TOEFL, or Pearson PTE).
The level placement will be based on the lowest band score of the official English proficiency exam result.
Students who successfully complete Academic English 2 with a grade of “B-” or higher meet the language proficiency requirements for most Bow Valley College, SAIT, and other post-secondary programs.
