At the University of Queensland, you will learn about the scientific composition of foods and the chemical reactions that take place during processing by integrating theory with practice.
Study key aspects in developing food products and develop your expertise in food preservation, processing operations, quality assurance and consumer product testing.
You'll then have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and build your industry connections with work placements at leading food manufacturing organisations.
You'll be prepared to work in product development, quality assurance and food safety, food microbiology, research and development, food standards and policy or sales and marketing.

Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent) General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C);
Mathematical Methods (Units 3 & 4, C); and one of Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Science or Physics (Units 3 & 4, C).
