Overview

Executive Master of Arts

Develop the skills you need to tackle contemporary leadership challenges with the Executive Master of Arts (EMA).

This world-first graduate degree draws together the practical skills needed for effective career development and the creative and critical thinking strengths of the humanities.

The EMA at The University of Melbourne is developed in consultation with the arts, government, corporate and community sectors.

The program focuses on project management, leadership, creative and critical thinking, people management, budgeting and financial management, and organisational theory and practice.

You can diversify your skill base with subjects including international history, politics, HR practice, arts management and social entrepreneurship.

Or internationalise yourself by studying a language from beginner to advanced level.

During your studies, you’ll have the opportunity to find a placement in a wide range of national and international government, cultural, corporate and not-for-profit organisations.

The EMA is designed to draw on the expertise of academics, industry professionals and fellow students to give you a rewarding cohort-building experience.

If you want to apply your skills and knowledge to real-world situations, the EMA has an external internship placement or special project that you can be the leader in creating.
