Archaeology is the only discipline to study more than three million years of human history in all its facets.
Topics include:
Human origins and symbolic behaviour, stone tools, rock art, archaeozoology, archaeobotany, forensics, scientific dating, Indigenous knowledge, historical and maritime archaeology.
The analytical and practical elements of the discipline - in which valuable transferable and experiential work-integrated skills are learned - are taught within laboratory and field work units.

The proposed UWA Foundation Program provides international students with a pathway into the first year of a comprehensive suite of bachelor's degrees at the University of Western Australia.
The course offers a range of core and elective units designed to ensure breadth of study and to provide students with the opportunity to study a wide range of majors, providing progression into the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Biomedical Science, Commerce, Engineering, Mathematics, Science and Computing.
The minimum academic requirement for entry to The Western Australian Universities Foundation Program (WAUFP) is a Year 11 qualification or equivalent.
