Overview

Bachelor of Arts - Classics and Ancient History

UWA's Bachelor of Arts is one of the most flexible and diverse degrees in Western Australia.

You will graduate with the skills to address complex social issues, integrate local and global knowledge and perspectives, collaborate across disciplinary, organisational and cultural boundaries, and perform human processes that cannot be mechanised or automated.

This major combines the history, languages, literature, religions, and material culture of the ancient Greek and Roman civilisations to give you a holistic picture of this vibrant and eternally relevant era.

The Greeks and the Romans struggled with many of the same crucial issues:

The rise and fall of great powers, the consequences of imperialism, religious tensions, and changing gender roles and expectations.
