Focused on uncovering long-buried secrets that deepen our understanding of how life on Earth evolved, this degree provides you with in-depth knowledge and appreciation of the Australian fossil record in addition to a broad-based foundation in palaeontology and allied disciplines. 

You will also will develop a range of transferable research, analytical and communication skills.

Practical experience

The degree provides you with practical experience that prepares you for the workforce.
 

  • Gain hands-on experience in a range of field- and laboratory-based settings.
  • Collaborate on projects in the state-of-the-art, purpose-built hub.
  • Excavate and analyse real fossil deposits from the Naracoorte Caves (SA) and Alcoota Fossil Reserve (NT).

Flinders University recognizes international secondary schooling for direct entry to undergraduate programs.

China:

Provincial scores required.

India:

Completion of a CBSE School Certificate with an average of at least 65% in best 4 subjects (excluding local language) or 

Completion of a ISC School Certificate with an average of at least 70% in best 4 subjects (excluding local language)

Iran:

Completion of the Pre-University Certificate with a minimum of 24 credits.

Foundation Study: 

Flinders International Study Centre is closed as of 25 June 2021. They are not accepting applications from prospective students.
