Take a look at the appliances and systems that make our daily lives easier – they were created by electronic engineers. Electronic engineers are also involved in robotics research, which relies heavily on using digital systems.
Study the Electronic Engineering major in the Bachelor of Engineering Technology and develop an in-depth understanding of electronic engineering circuits, with a focus on microelectronic systems and their applications in commercial, industrial and domestic systems and appliances.
The Electronic Engineering major also covers the design, implementation and maintenance of electronic systems.
All students complete an industry-based project in the third year. This is your chance to apply what you’ve learnt in a research or industry environment.

AUT International House is an English language school next to the AUT City Campus. It is part of AUT and offers a range of qualifications, including GIE – the AUT university entrance and preparation programme.

The GIE programme prepares you for entry into most AUT programmes (some health and education programmes require IELTS).

If you don’t have the academic qualifications needed for direct entry into an AUT programme, you can enrol in a foundation programme.
If you successfully complete the foundation programme and the get the required grades, you are guaranteed entry into an appropriate AUT programme.

AUT has established a partnership with NCUK, enabling you to study at a NCUK Study Centre in your home country, and then come directly into your chosen AUT degree.
