The Mechanical Engineering major in the Bachelor of Engineering Technology at AUT prepares you for careers as an engineering technologist in mechanical engineering, and production or manufacturing engineering.
You develop the skills to maintain, develop and design different aspects of modern mechanical technology.
All students complete an industry-based project in their third year. This is your chance to apply what you’ve learned in a research or industry environment.

AUT International House is an English language school next to the AUT City Campus. It is part of AUT and offers a range of qualifications, including GIE – the AUT university entrance and preparation programme.

If you don’t have the academic qualifications needed for direct entry into an AUT programme, you can enroll in a foundation programme.
If you successfully complete the foundation programme and get the required grades, you are guaranteed entry into an appropriate AUT programme.
