The four-year Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) is a new postgraduate degree for both school leavers and students currently completing a Bachelor of Science.
Current Bachelor of Science students can transfer into the Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) at any time if they have a B+ average or higher. High achieving school leavers can enter directly into the degree.
Geospatial science specialisation is another strong research area within the School of Science. The university has pioneered high-resolution 3D mapping for conservation purposes using drones in Antarctica, Australia, Africa and New Zealand.
Graduates with a Bachelor of Science can enrol in a standard Bachelor of Science (Honours).
You complete either the postgraduate Research Project (60 points) that provides you with skills in scientific research and in drafting a course in a format suitable for a scientific journal publication, or the Dissertation (45 points).

AUT International House is an English language school next to the AUT City Campus. It is part of AUT and offers a range of qualifications, including GIE – the AUT university entrance and preparation programme.
On-campus academic English courses (GIE and IELTS Full-time) at International House:
The GIE programme prepares you for entry into most AUT programmes (some health and education programmes require IELTS).

IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in Reading and Writing and no less than 5.0 in Speaking and Listening
