If you like working with machinery, enjoy solving mechanical problems and are good with your hands, check out Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Industrial Mechanics program.
You’ll get the basic knowledge and skills you need to install, repair, overhaul and maintain stationary, industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
Industrial Mechanics is a one-year certificate program offered at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Saskatoon campus.
Working in well-equipped shops with highly qualified instructors, you’ll get practical, hands-on training in:
Hands-on learning means you’ll spend much of your time applying what you learn in Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s well-equipped shops. Strong industry support for our students means you’ll work with the latest tools and equipment.
You’ll also get a chance to apply your skills during a two-week work experience.
With this Saskatchewan Polytechnic credential, you may be eligible for credit towards apprenticeship training.

Applicants may be conditionally waitlisted and/or conditionally accepted where proof of registration in an English language Centre program is provided.
Proof must include a specified date by which the individual is anticipated to meet the ELP requirement.
Successful completion of a Saskatchewan Polytechnic-recognized ESL program from a Canadian college or university, if it is considered equivalent to Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s required TOEFL iBT or IELTS admission requirements.
Proficiency equivalents will be reviewed by Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s International Admissions Representative in consultation with the relevant program head. Registrar approval will be required.

Applicants who do not possess the academic qualifications for a program may be admitted if evidence of probable success can be established through an alternative admission assessment.
Applicants are automatically considered for alternative admission. However, some specific admission requirements may still need to be met.
