Today’s media is all about content—stories, ideas, words, sounds, images, and designs. And with more media outlets than ever before, demand for people with the abilities to conceive, produce and deliver content is growing.
Media Production offers cutting-edge training in the “how-to” of content creation. Learn how to bring ideas to life, how to operate production equipment, how to prepare presentations, and how to produce media programs.
Media Production is a two-year diploma program. The program is offered full-time at the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Saskatoon campus. In the first year of the program, you’ll learn the fundamentals of:

The program covers advanced production techniques and helps you develop management skills related to media production environments in video acquisition, post-production, sound recording and editing in computer-based, digital, and HDTV formats.

Applicants may be conditionally waitlisted and/or conditionally accepted where proof of registration in an English language Centre program is provided.
Proof must include a specified date by which the individual is anticipated to meet the ELP requirement.
Successful completion of a Saskatchewan Polytechnic-recognized ESL program from a Canadian college or university, if it is considered equivalent to Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s required TOEFL iBT or IELTS admission requirements.
Proficiency equivalents will be reviewed by Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s International Admissions Representative in consultation with the relevant program head. Registrar approval will be required.
