The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physics provides a basic foundation in biology, chemistry, mathematics, computer science and a solid education in classical and modern physics.
The program meets the rapidly increasing demand for graduates with knowledge and skills in technology-oriented fields such as energy, materials science, microelectronics, health, photonics and communication technologies and astrophysics.
The Physics program offers optional specializations in Astrophysics, and Nanotechnology and Clean Energy.
The Faculty of Business and Information Technology offers a Finance minor specifically for students in Physics.
You will explore the current state of knowledge in astrophysics, examine new and emerging theories, and utilize modern techniques to analyze and solve problems in astronomy and astrophysics.
Students in the Astrophysics specialization develop extensive knowledge in physics and math, as well as strong analytical and computational skills.
This specialization will prepare you for graduate work and a wide variety of career options in astronomy and physics.
In addition to the regular program, a co-op program is also available. Students in Astrophysics interested in the co-op program, should contact the Faculty of Science Co-op Coordinator as early as the fall of their second year.
The Faculty of Business and Information Technology offers a Finance minor specifically for students in Physics.

Duolingo English Test (DET): Minimum score of 110 (Education and Nursing programs require a total score of 120).
EAP:
Pre-EAP Program: Students who need more preparation before entering the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program will be admitted to the Pre-EAP Program for a minimum of eight weeks.
Upon successful completion of pre-EAP, students will enter Level 1 of EAP. The Pre-EAP program focuses on building and improving basic English language skills.
