The School offers programs that allow for concentrated study in Art History or in Studio Art, or a combination of the two disciplines.
The Studio Art program provides a thorough grounding in contemporary art practice, art history, theory, and criticism. Courses are offered in drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, computer graphics, and experimental studio. Studio Art majors must also take a selection of courses in art history.
Traditional practices meet new technologies in a rigorous creative environment. You will paint, draw, sculpt and then have the opportunity to animate, sync sound to video and design projects for 3D printing. You’ll have 24/7 access to some of Canada’s top work-spaces and the flexibility to combine fine art with other subjects. Prepare for professional life in the arts through our galleries, work-spaces, and networks, both on and off campus.
