The Bachelor of Agricultural Science at UWA prepares you for agricultural systems of the future, as it integrates the rapidly developing field of AgTech with key agricultural science subjects.
You will develop skills in digital agriculture, agricultural economics, soil science, and crop and livestock production.
Agricultural Science and Technology extended major provides knowledge in both the traditional agricultural science areas as well as the emerging data-intensive agricultural technologies.
The combination of Agricultural Science with Agricultural Technology will give students the ability to integrate new technologies into agricultural systems for improved decision-making and farming efficiency/profitability.
In this extended major, you will develop skills in agricultural economics, soils, crops and livestock as well as remote sensing and data management and analysis, within an agricultural context.
Work Integrated Learning (WIL) helps bridge the gap between theory and practice by providing opportunities for students to gain hands-on, practical industry-relevant experience and for employers to help shape the graduates of tomorrow.

This major requires a certain level of Mathematics. If you do not meet this level, you may be able to take additional Mathematics units in your first year to satisfy this requirement.
To be eligible for entry into an undergraduate program at UWA, you'll need to demonstrate academic performance through your school-leaving qualification or previous university study, achieve UWA’s requirement for English language competence and satisfy the prerequisite subject(s) for your preferred major(s).
The minimum academic requirement for entry to The Western Australian Universities Foundation Program (WAUFP) is a Year 11 qualification or equivalent.
